Haiti Earthquake.
Make a donation and help save lives.
Dear Supporter,
As you are no doubt aware, a devastating earthquake struck Haiti, and its capital city Port-au-Prince, on 12 January.
Save the Children are already there and we have launched a major appeal to fund our emergency response.
It's too early to be certain of the numbers of casualties, but reports suggest thousands of people have been killed and many more remain trapped beneath the rubble. Those that have survived face terrible conditions. Children and parents have been separated, buildings and infrastructure in the affected area has suffered extensive damage, while basic services, including water and electricity are on the brink of collapse.
Please make an urgent donation today
With around 2 million people living in or around the city, there is a risk of disease spreading quickly amongst the survivors. Our priority now is essential supplies such as clean drinking water, shelter and hygiene kits to everyone in need. Please donate now and help us save lives.
Thank you
Gareth Owen
